I’m originally from the UK, I left over 35 years ago. I now live on Madeira Island. I am happily (most of the time) partnered up with Maria, who is from Madeira. I’ll tell you more about my past while telling you about my present and whatever happens in the future.
As the title suggests I’m a Grumpy bastard,😡 I’m not nasty or anything but I’m at my happiest being Grumpy. As I’ve gotten older (60), I think I’ve just had enough of people being selfish. They don’t give a shit or care if they upset you. They’re just generally rude, so I now tell them. I have a habit of saying the wrong things at the wrong time. I realize it right after it’s come out of my mouth.
I do have a tendency to use swear words now and then. I’m sorry about that. I just feel that it expresses my emotions better. For example BASTARD!!! What a word, it can be used for a multitude of situations. If Smokey eats something he’s not supposed to then: “BASTARD dog”,😡 or if I drop something while cooking or trip over the cat, a good loud “BASTARD!!”😡 will make it feel so much better.
What I’m trying to say is “if your easily offended then maybe this blog isn’t for you”
So this is where I am and I’m enjoying my time pottering about and cooking. I am going to share with you my recipes. I will also travel around the island and capture its scenery. Additionally, I will document the wildlife and aspects of my everyday life.
