Exploring Camara de Lobos: Seafood, Friends, and Festivals

Bom Dia guys,

Ok so today we treated ourselves. We went for lunch to Camara de Lobos with a couple of friends. Mack and Annie.

Mack is a retired electrician from Guernsey in the Channel Islands. He has obviously had a few shocks over the years. He’s as bald as a coot. He has blown his hair clean off.

He’s a nice guy, who’s as Grumpy as me (if not Grumpier) probably why we get on well.

Annie is from Madeira, she is a lovely down to earth lady who just wants to have a laugh albeit with a few Vinho Verde’s

She has a special laugh that sounds like a porkie with hiccups. She can’t help but snort when she’s really laughing. It’s contagious, and she starts everyone off.

They are great company.

It really is a great experience. They erect a big stage for lots of singers/bands and entertainment.

Be aware of the Sangria, it’s delicious but very pricey 25 euros a jug. We needed a stiff drink when we realized.

It is a nice restaurant though, food was lovely and what a view.

After lunch we went for a walk about and a few drinks. The little bars always give you nibbles with drinks. We found one that was giving chicken and milho. This was much to Mack’s delight.

It was a great day!!!!

Many thanks to Mack & Annie.
