Today we took Sis and Tony to some BEAUTIFUL places on the north coast, called Sao Vicente, Seixal, Porto Moniz.
Sao Vicente is known for surfing, and has lots of shops, bars and restaurants.
Seixal for the black sand beach and Porto Moniz for the Rock pools.
One of our fav’s (and now my sisters), is a bar called Porto de Abrigo (in photo)
It has a beautiful old wine press inside and the deco is really cool. Try the Black Pig Gin with special lemon and olive water, it’s lovely.

Seixal is a natural black sand beach in between Sao Vicente and Porto Moniz. It has a one way system for traffic. It can be difficult to find parking at busy times and holidays. However, it’s well worth a look. There’s a restaurant at the bottom near the beach and public toilets. It also has a lagoon that fills with sea water at high tide.

Porto Moniz is famous for the natural volcanic pools. It also has the only aquarium on Madeira. The aquarium has some species of fish only found off the coast of Madeira. Porto Moniz is a truly stunning place.

There are also a few Hotels, lots of Restaurants and shops. A Lido area for swimming in the rock pools. A great place to spend the day.
After a long day out and about, we fancied staying at home. We enjoyed a Cheese board, Crackers, grapes, Pate, and of course, Vinho.
If you need a recipe for a cheeseboard, then you need help. 😡
We’re all tired and tipsy. The sign off a good day!!
